Over 98,000 Nebraskans and Iowans are affected by Alzheimer's today! As Baby Boomers retire, this number will skyrocket, threatening to overwhelm our health care system. Help support elders affected by Alzheimer's disease in the greater Omaha area and raise awareness about dementia by joining the Alzheimer's Association Midlands Chapter for our 16th Annual Memory Walk, September 28, 2008 at Chalco Hills Recreation Area's beautiful Wehrspann Lake (8901 South 154th Street). The 2, 4, or 6 mile walk will begin at 12:00. The Memory Walk features raffles, entertainment, kids activities, food, a doggy walk (at 11:00 - $10 donation), and team t-shirts. For more information or to register your team, contact Micah Evans (Leadership Omaha class 28) at (402) 502-4301 x 203 or mevans@midlandsalz.org. More information can be found at www.alz.org/midlands.
