The Goldstein Award Mug Challenge
Each year, Leadership Omaha gives the Goldstein Award to one or two graduating seniors who have established themselves as emerging leaders in Omaha. To ensure the Award’s ongoing success, members of the current LO class devise wonderfully creative ways to raise money for the scholarship. Since the scholarship was first introduced in 1988, LO has raised over $30,000.
This year, members of Class 32 can purchase Leadership Omaha Water Bottle and Insulated Mug sets for $20. In order to raise money for the Goldstein Award, they’ve decided to pay $50 for the set, putting each additional $30 toward the scholarship. Additionally, Class 32 is challenging all LO alumni to do the same, in an effort to raise even more money for the award. Will you accept Class 32’s challenge?
By accepting the challenge, you’ll directly and positively impact the life of an Omaha Housing Authority teen anticipating high school graduation. “The Goldstein Award has been an additional spark for OHA resident youth,” says Sal Issaka of the Omaha Housing Authority. “The scholarship and the people involved give encouragement and a positive voice to OHA high school students. It can really put them on a path to a better life and a better environment.”

P.S. Last year’s recipient, Todd Alba Jr., is currently having an incredible experience at Kent State University in Ohio, and intends to be the first in his family to graduate from a four-year university.
